Lucifer has been one of Walking Street’s anchor nightclubs for years, and its towering facade with devilish branding is impossible to miss. Located in the heart of the strip, this multi-level venue pulls in a mixed crowd of tourists, expats, and Thai locals who come for the big-room sound system and the sheer scale of the operation.
What to Expect
The club spans multiple floors, each with its own bar and slightly different vibe. The ground floor is where most of the action happens, with a large dance floor that gets packed after midnight. Upper levels offer more seating and a slightly less intense experience if you want to take a breather without leaving the venue.
Music leans toward EDM, house, and commercial dance hits. Thai and international DJs rotate through the lineup, and on weekends the energy ramps up considerably. The sound system is powerful and the light show is one of the better ones on Walking Street. If you are into club culture, this is a proper nightclub experience rather than a bar with a dance floor.
The crowd skews younger and more international than some of the other Walking Street clubs, though you will find a broad mix on any given night. Friday and Saturday are the busiest, but even midweek nights can surprise you during high season.
Drink Prices
Beer runs around 150 to 180 THB for a bottle, cocktails range from 250 to 350 THB. Bucket deals are sometimes available and can be better value if you are with a group. There is typically no cover charge, though special event nights may have one, so check the signage at the door.
Drink promotions sometimes run earlier in the evening, so arriving closer to opening can save you a bit.
Tips
Get there before midnight if you want space on the dance floor and a good spot at the bar. After 01:00, the place fills up with spillover from GoGo bars and beer bars, and queuing for drinks can take a while.
Keep your belongings close. Like any large nightclub, crowded conditions attract the occasional opportunist. Use front pockets or a small crossbody bag.
Walking Street venues open and close with surprising frequency, but Lucifer has proven its staying power. Still, it is always worth checking current status before making it your sole plan for the evening, especially during low season when some venues reduce their operating hours.
